Education
St Helen’s Church of England School is housed in a new building behind the village playing field. The new school was opened in 2004 to replace the small stone built school which had served the village since 1851. In 2013 it was enlarged further to provide a one form entry school.In 2018 it became one of the founding members of Alumnis MAT.
In addition the thriving Abbotsham and Alwington Pre-School operates within the village. It is based in the recently updated old school building.
