OUT REACH POST OFFICE
The Village has an outreach Post Office, located in the village hall, which operates every Wednesday between the hours of 09.30 and 11.30am.
In addition to the Post Office services, groceries and a range of other goods including daily papers and magazines can be ordered for collection by contacting Hartland shop and post office on 441169 or email [email protected]

THE THATCHED INN
The Thatched Inn is a traditional historic pub situated in the heart of Abbotsham.

As its name suggests the 15th century stone building has a thatched roof and was originally 3 stone cottages before being converted into a public house. The interior of this ancient inn is equally charming and full of character as many of the building's original features remain. In the recently refurbished Bar and Restaurants gleaming brassware hangs from the walls and exposed beams further complement the atmosphere. Not surprisingly, a place this old and steeped in history also has a resident ghost; a former customer who used to meet his loved one at The Thatched Inn!

The winter of 2013/14 has seen a major extension with a superb new function room with it's own bar. In addition there is improved disabled access and a pool table adjacent to the main bar. Finally the picturesque garden area has been remodelled making it ideal for a relaxing drink or meal in the sunshine.

Neil, Bridget, Claire & Chris welcome you to 'Westacott Farm', which has been in the Trewin family for almost 100 years. The farm, which totals 110 acres, is still a small working family farm specialising in beef and sheep and is situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty along the North Devon coast, with views out over the waters to Lundy Island and Saunton Sands and inland towards Exmoor. In 2007, along with The Camping & Caravanning Club, they opened Bay View Field as a 'certificated site'. This proved very successful and has expanded with showers and electric hook-ups providing all the facilities expected by campers and caravanners.
