THE THATCHED INN
The Thatched Inn is a much‑loved historic pub at the heart of Abbotsham. Housed in a beautiful 15th‑century stone building with its original thatched roof, it began life as three cottages before becoming the characterful inn it is today. Inside, you’ll find plenty of charm—original features, exposed beams and polished brass creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. And, in true old‑pub fashion, there’s even a friendly resident ghost said to be a former regular.
It has a fantastic function room with its own bar, disabled access and a pool table beside the main bar. The garden has also been redesigned, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a drink or meal outdoors on sunny days.
The Thatched Inn blends centuries of history with modern comfort, making it a standout place to relax, celebrate or simply enjoy great company.

THE PIG ON THE HILL
The Pig on the Hill sits on top of a hill, surrounded by countryside, the sea just over the brow. It has great facilities to keep all the family entertained, free parking and lots of space for kids to explore.
At The Pig you will find delicious food and a grand selection of drinks for tipplers and non-tipplers alike. Our diners enjoy the quality of a restaurant menu with the down to earth atmosphere of a country pub.
There are five rustic chalets nestled amongst the gated grounds of The Pig on the Hill pub. While the chalets are fully self contained, the pub staff are on hand if needed. Staying at The Pig has never been more luxurious!

WESTACOTT FARM CAMPING
Neil, Bridget, Claire and Chris welcome you to Westacott Farm, a 110‑acre family farm that has been in the Trewin family for nearly 100 years. Still run as a traditional beef and sheep farm, it sits in a stunning North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with views across to Lundy Island, Saunton Sands and inland towards Exmoor.

Westacott Farm Camping is a dog friendly, ideal base for exploring North Devon’s beaches, coast paths and countryside. Walking, cycling, surfing, golfing or simply relaxing—there’s something for everyone. The campsite is open all year, and autumn and winter offer quiet trails, dramatic scenery and cosy local spots to enjoy.

Bay View
The original field, offering nine metered electric pitches (five hardstanding, four grass) with open space in the centre. It’s a quieter area with sea views one way and Exmoor the other. Facilities include a wet room, an additional toilet, a small kitchen with sinks, microwave, kettle and freezer, plus a coin‑operated washer and dryer available to all campers.

Lundy View
This field has twenty metered electric pitches arranged around a central children’s play area (added in 2019) and enjoys excellent bay views and sunsets. Facilities include four self‑contained shower rooms and a modern amenities block (new in 2021) with separate men’s and ladies’ areas, underfloor heating, a new kitchen, an outdoor shower and a chemical disposal point.
Middle Meadow & Atlantic View
Non‑electric areas open from Whitsun to September, offering spacious pitching and some of the best views on site.
As a South West Coast Path stamping point, the farm is also a popular stop for walkers.
Whether you come for the views, the coastline or the calm of the countryside, Westacott Farm offers a warm welcome and a true taste of North Devon.
